"This cupboard, positioned at the point where the lower and upper floors are separated, is a creation that evokes awe. For someone standing in the corridor of the upper floor, it feels as though a person emerging from the lower floor is coming out from inside the cupboard. In designing this, our intention was to separate the upper and lower floors in such a way that the staircase remains hidden."
